COVID-19 Safety Management Procedures

Safety Is Our Priority

At Cosmetic Skin Therapies, the safety of our patients, clinics and the surrounding communities is our highest priority. Throughout the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we continue to monitor the situation closely and swiftly implement Government health and safety standards across all our clinical practices.

Our clinics have a structured plan to implement standard and COVID-19 specific measures that will help minimise any risk of exposure to COVID-19 within Cosmetic Skin Therapies Clinics. These COVID-19 specific measures mean there will be some changes in the way we operate. These changes will affect:

  • Patient pre-screening
  • Waiting room
  • Treatment room
  • Medical professional procedures.

Upon your next visit, you will experience new measures when you arrive at the clinic and during your appointment.

Pre-Screening Requirements

  • Medical History & Consent Forms – these forms must be completed prior to an appointment, by all patients (both Current and New)
  • Patient Intake form – this must be completed prior to or at every appointment you attend.
  • Incomplete forms mean our clinic will be unable to carry out any procedures.
  • Find links to your Medical History and Consent Forms on your Appointment Confirmation Email. If you cannot find your email, please contact your Cosmetic Skin Therapies Clinic.
  • Virtual consultations – clinics who offer skin consultation services, will now provide patients virtual/video consultations as a first option, instead of the previous in-clinic visit for initial and regular non-treatment appointments.

Waiting Room

  • Sanitise Your Hands – We ask that when you attend your appointment, that you ensure to sanitise your hands.
  • Minimised Waiting Room Times – Appointments are scheduled with increased time slots in between to minimise the time in the waiting room, time for environmental cleaning and to limit cross-over between patients. We ask all patients to adhere to all social distancing guidelines.
  • Social Distancing Maintained – We ask all patients to adhere to all guidelines that are outlined by your medical professional

Treatment Room

Actual visits will feel quite different, as it will consist of even more stringent health and safety practices. Clinics implement these protocols to comply with Government standards. Additional protocols include, but are not limited to:
  • Temperature check for patients
  • Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – masks, protective gloves and eyewear (Optional for patients/ Required for staff and medical professionals)
  • Patient appointments are scheduled with increased time slots in between to provide adequate time to disinfect rooms after each treatment.
Medical professional procedures.
  • Medical Professionals will wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – masks, protective gloves and eyewear as a mandatory requirement.
